Chia Seed Apple Oatmeal


Ingredients
300 ml almond milk / cow
4 tablespoons oatmeal flakes

1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 apple, peeled and diced small
1 apple, peeled and finely grated
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup / honey

lemon zest / orange or your preferred extract
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Preparation Method
In a saucepan over medium heat, place oats, diced apple, grated apple, chia seeds, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, lemon zest / orange, salt, mix well and allow to heat for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
When the mixture thickens and liquid is absorbed, it is ready.


If you use extract instead of lemon zest / orange add it only when you take the pan off the heat.

When serving it sprinkle with chopped nuts and maple syrup / honey.
