Islere















This recipe is originally from Austria, they say that islere's filled with raspberry jam were the Emperor's Franz Joseph I favorites.

Ingredients
Dough
280 g flour
280 g butter
150 g ground walnuts
140 g powdered sugar
a pinch of salt
1 tablespoon brandy / rum
Filling
jam raspberry / blueberry / apricot / plum
or
Chocolate cream
60 g dark chocolate
70 g butter at room temp
80 g powdered sugar
vanilla
Frosting
150-200 g melted chocolate

Preparation

The dough
Mix well the butter with the powdered sugar, add nuts / almonds, flour, salt, brandy / rum and knead until the dough binds.
Then place it in a foil or a plastic bag and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Then it's spread in a thin sheet of 3mm, cut into round shapes using round cookie cutter or with a round glass, then place them in a tray that has been greased with oil or with
baking paper lining place in hot oven at 360F for 8-10 minutes. They will not get dark when done because of the mix of ingredients used.
Allow to cool.

Pass half of them through melted chocolate, and spread jam on the other half,



















then sandwhich them together with the chocolate covered ones on top.
